You'll be surprised how much you can earn from taking surveys. You'll be participating in research panels for some of the largest companies in the world and there's a lot of money involved. By giving the survey panelists a little extra money they can hope for real advice on their new products or your shopping habits. These companies would rather dish out $10,000 now than try promoting a new product later and lose millions. If you do as many surveys as you can in your spare time you WILL be making a lot of extra money.

Making money from free surveys

It's true that you can make good money from taking online surveys. That's not my only source of income but it sure does help out. And yes, there are some people out there taking surveys for a living. By signing up with all the free survey sites listed at The Survey Surfer, there's a good chance you'll be making a good amount of money. If you live in the U.S., you'll be making a lot more money than the rest of the world, but anybody outside the U.S. can make some extra cash regardless of location - possibly $100's!

How much will the companies pay you?

Expect to make anywhere from $2.00-$150.00 per survey. The highest amount I've had was $75.00 but normally they'll be less than $20.00 unless they're longer than usual. When you get into focus groups and product testing you will sometimes see more money but it depends on the survey site and the company involved. Be prepared to enter a lot of sweepstakes since many companies would rather pay 1 person a large amount rather than 10,000 little rewards. Sometimes the odds are as good as 1 in 100 so there's a good chance of winning the smaller draws more frequently. In March, 2005, I won $2500 - my first big win and hopefully there will be more. As for the smaller draws, I've won $100 draws 3 times and a $250 draw! There's also the occasional $25-$50 gift card that comes my way. It sure adds up and I look at these like a free lottery!

Surveys for Everyone

The Survey Surfer is broken up into 3 sections - U.S., Canada, and International. I searched high and low 3 years ago to come up with a personal list of free survey sites. How To Use The Templates

In this tutorial, we will cover:
1) Uploading Images
2) Changing the code
3) Uploading to blogger.com

1) UPLOADING IMAGEGS
You need to upload the images onto your own server. People read that sentence and go "I don't have a server!!!"
That's fine. There are many websites that offer free Image Hosting. We use Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com/), but there is also ImageShack (http://www.imageshack.us) that offers free Image Hosting. In this tutorial, we will be using Photobucket.

1) First you need to create an account on Photobucket. They apparently only allow free sign ups at certain times of the day (I'm not sure when), but I hope you do sign up at the right time. Just follow the prompts on their site.

2) You need to sign in. You might think this sounds redundant, but you have no idea how many people I've tried to talk through this without them signing in.

3) Click the browse button.

You then find the images that you have already unzipped, and press ok, and then submit. MAKE SURE THE KEEP ORIGINAL PICTURE NAMES IS TICKED. (or else you'll end up with images with names that look like international phonenumbers)

It's up to you whether or not you will name the image or not. I'll be uploading the images from the Dark Magic layout. Repeat this step until all the images in the zip folder/s is uploaded.

That's it! It's all you have to do to upload an image!

Changing the code

OK, now, get the HTML file, and open it in a HTML editor like Dreamweaver or Notepad. The images we uploaded were:

So now we have to find where the correspoding image is in the HTML.

OK, Photobucket gives you a set of three codes URL, Tag and IMG. You want to copy all the code in the "url" box.

Copy the link in the "url" box. Paste that code where the picture is in the HTML. i.e for the image above, I would take the code tor darkmagic_01.gif and paste it on the the spot where it says "darkmagic_01.gif" in the HTML. So, it should go from looking like this:

*The bold bits are the parts that i've (and you should) copy and paste over.
Repeat this with all the images, and then you are done changing the code.

Uploading to blogger

Open a www.blogger.com (http://www.blogger.com/) account. You should come to the "Dashboard" as soon as you log in. It should have your blog listed under the "Blogs" list. Click on the "Change settings" button (it looks like a blue gear) next to the blog you want to change. You should then see four tabs on top (Posting, Settings, Template, View Blog). Click on the "Template" tab and copy and paste all the template code, into the big white box.

How to paste the Ad...?

You can do it in two ways , the layout type or the code type.

In the Layout type all you have to do is go to your Dashboard account (homepage in blogspot)

choose "Layout" and under the Layout tab choose Page Elements...

There you will see an Add Element Box, click it and Look for Adsense

Customize the settings (Type of Ad, Color, etch) that you want and click Save

Code Type :
Log in on your Google Adsense account (if you have one, if you dont?? Go sign up now its free)

Go to Adsense Setup tab, then choose the Get Ad subtab, Choose Adsense for Content

Again customize the settings according to what you want .. (You can choose not to put a channel , you can skip it)...

Submit and Get the Code...

Once the code is shown, highlight all the code , press CTRL + C (to copy it)

Then go again on the layout tab on your blog account, choose Add a Page Element, choose

HTML/JavaScript, paste the code and save it. View your blog to see the Ad

How to make relevant Ad's?

The Ad's that will appear on you site is based on the content of your page. So the more rich your content is the more relevant ad's will show.
